My hair today with chemo curls

I apply my product development expertise to every area of my life — even my hair! Hair after chemo is an ever-evolving process. Eventually, it will stabilize, but it’s a years-long road. It requires a lot of patience, and over time, you need to tweak and adjust your haircare routine. Give yourself grace. With all that in mind, here are some tips:

- Don’t cut it (unless it’s very dry and damaged, which thankfully mine is not) if want to grow it out

- Wash less, condition more

- Use hair masks at least 2X per week

- Use satin or silk pillow cases

- Never blow-dry or use heat of any kind (yet)

- Here’s the kicker: because I have dark hair, I can do a brewed coffee rinse a few times a week to speed growth, decrease shedding, & make hair soft & shiny. (Ironically, this coincides with another new product idea I’m working on! More on that at a future date.)

After just 1 day, these are the results: soft, twirly curls again!
